Horticulture is considered as the production and marketing of Fruit, Vegetable, and Flowers.
Objectives
1.To increase overall production and value of horticulture crops.
2.To create an environment facilitating interface among the growers traders and exporters.
3.To minimize the pre and post harvest losses through strategic planning.
4.To establish gene pool in the public and private sector.
5.To ensure availability of certified plant materials.
6.To build the capacity of all the stake holders, extension workers, businessmen and farmers including women.
7.To increase income of the farmers and entrepreneur and all the stakeholders involved in the horticulture sector.
8.To promote mechanism for public private partnership.
